Senior Product Manager
The Role
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive our user and revenue growth. Reporting to the Editor in Chief, you'll shape the product strategy and own its execution end-to-end — building product that creates real value for readers and, through that, grows our audience and revenue. Subscriptions are a core lever, but not the only one: you'll also help us R&D new revenue streams, and there are exciting ideas to explore here alongside the EIC. You'll make an impact from Day 1 and quickly become a key player in our journey.
You're data-driven and user-obsessed — you turn qualitative and quantitative signals into insightful action plans, and you talk to users constantly to know what they actually need. You're close to the data yourself and back your point of view with evidence. And you use AI as a force multiplier — directing and sharpening what it produces with your own taste and judgment, not deferring to it.
You'll work closely with the engineering, design, data, and editorial teams to make it happen.
- Location: Vietnam or Indonesia
- Arrangement: Individual Contributor reporting to Editor in Chief
Responsibilities
- Lead growth strategy — plan, execute, and optimize the strategies that grow our audience and revenue, subscriptions among them, and influence the strategic direction overall.
- R&D new revenue streams — explore, prototype, and validate new ways for the product to create value and generate revenue, in close collaboration with the Editor in Chief.
- Own the roadmap and its alignment — turn the publication's direction into a prioritized product roadmap, with clear tradeoffs, and keep stakeholders aligned.
- Build the experimentation roadmap — design experiments that validate hypotheses and generate the insights that drive user and revenue growth.
- Monitor, analyze, adjust — track progress against goals, run gap analysis, and propose the adjustments that keep growth sustainable.
- Be the expert on our users — dive deep into customer data and insight; know this audience better than anyone.
- Ship with engineering — deliver the pipeline on time and to a high quality bar, then read results honestly and iterate or cut.
Minimum Qualifications
- Fluent, clear English communicator — you can express complex ideas succinctly and persuasively in written and spoken English. Our team operates in English, and you'll be expected to demonstrate this through the hiring process.
- 5-8 years in product management or growth at a fast-paced company, owning a product area and shipping outcomes.
- Data-driven and analytical — you think through complex, ambiguous problems, track and interpret data, and turn it into a strategy that moves metrics.
- Full ownership — you lead projects independently and proactively in a cross-functional environment.
- Radically candid — direct and honest, delivered with care.
- User-obsessed with strong judgment and taste — you can tell good product from mediocre and know why.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset — proactive, resourceful, and curious.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience developing a strategy that meaningfully accelerated a product's growth — subscription products a plus.
- Hands-on experience developing and reporting on metrics and KPIs for business goals, process improvements, and campaigns.
- Comfort in fast-paced, demanding environments, with strong judgment in the face of ambiguity.
- Familiarity with the SEA tech ecosystem.
How We Work
- Users first — growth and revenue follow from serving readers well, not from squeezing them.
- Outcome over activity — every roadmap item ties to a measurable result and a P&L lens.
- Small team, real ownership — the surface area and autonomy to match.
