Tech in Asia is on a mission to be the most comprehensive and in-depth source of knowledge about Asia's tech scene, with a focus on tech startups and companies.

As a copyeditor, you'll add the finishing touches to Tech in Asia’s stories by turning good copy into great prose. You’ll supplement easy-to-read text with pull quotes, subheadings, charts, tables, and other visual tools to provide our audience a great reading experience.

You're meticulous and creative: Catching grammatical mistakes and surgically tweaking sentences to make the copy sing while ensuring accuracy and adherence to journalism ethics.

You must have:

  • sound English grammar and writing skills
  • fundamental journalistic skills such as research and fact-checking
  • an eye for detail and conciseness in language
  • the ability to craft eye-catching and accurate headlines without resorting to clickbait
  • a disciplined mind that doesn't cut corners
  • copyediting experience for media or in a newsroom setting
  • an understanding of what makes great editorial content
  • a passion for great user experience

You'll be required to: 

  • edit copy from the newsroom, newsletter, branded content, marketing, and events teams
  • maintain, update, and enforce our editorial guidelines
  • make sure that articles are not only written well but also look great
  • guide writers on how to improve their writing
