We're on a mission to create insightful and innovative journalism about Asia's tech industry. To help us on this cause, we're hiring a Tech Journalist to chronicle the tech industry in Asia. 

Responsibilities

• Write deep analytical pieces and long-form articles.
• Break news
• Cover the latest developments, profile movers and shakers, and analyze the most significant developments and companies in the tech scene in Asia.
• Develop a network of industry sources and mine compelling story ideas from these sources.

Required experience

• Long-form business journalism
• Breaking business scoops
• Written English content in a professional setting for a reputable media organization, large or small
• Developing a network of sources and turning that into story ideas 

(Don't need to possess all of them, but it doesn't hurt.)

Traits

• Strong interest in the inner workings of technology and businesses
• Sound understanding of what readers want, and how to sell a story to them
• Able to submit journalistically sound stories that don't require intervention by editors
• Ability to communicate candidly but empathetically 
• KPI- and data-driven
• Mission-driven in life
